Civil Rights for All

Father Hesburgh served on the United States Civil Rights Commission from 1957 until 1972, and served as chairman from 1969–1972. Father Hesburgh reflected in his autobiography, “My devotion to and efforts on behalf of civil rights and human rights have continued unabated through the years.”
